Review of The Christmas Edition by Robin Shope

The Christmas Edition by Robin Shope reminds me of the Hallmark Christmas specials I have been so absorbed in this holiday season.

Lucy Collins doesn't enjoy the holidays since a break-up with her fiance. And life only goes from bad to worse when word of a large newspaper moving into her town is threatening her own family owed paper, The Turtle Creek Newspaper. Lucy needs a good editor and a miracle to save the family paper. At the staff party she wishes for just that when Joe McNamara walks in the front door. Joe is a wonder with words and full of ideas to save the paper. He also has some secrets of his own and if Lucy discovers the real reason for his visit the budding relationship could be destroyed.
I really enjoyed reading this short Christmas novel. Yes, at times it's a little predictable but still a fun read. The quirky family and some really funny situations add much to the novel. The novel is a romance with an enjoyable twist of mystery. I would recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys reading contemporary romance.

I just posted an interview with Robin today. I really enjoyed this book and the twists. Its a great Christmas novel for this time of year and being from a small town made it even better.
