review of Milk Money by Cecelia Dowdy

Emily Cooper is struggling to keep her dairy farm going after the unexpected death of her father. With little to no help from family Emily has to draw on herself. With this strong sense of independence she has difficulty when her step mother hires Franklin Reese, a CPA, to audit the farms financial records. Franklin is stunned to discover that the Cooper women didn't know what was happening with the financial aspects of the farm.

The more time the two spend together the more the attraction grows but Franklin's issues with alcohol and his lack of belief in Christ but major walls up between the two. Both of these characters have real flaws which make them more endearing to read about.

Like all of the Heartsong presents novels, the story is brings to light real issues that face Christians in every walk of life. Cecelia Dowdy creates characters that pull at your heartstrings make you root for their success.
