I found an interesting site that each week Thursdays Thoughts poses a question. This is this weeks question:What are your earliest childhood memories? How old were you at the time? Why do you think those memories are what stayed? How are those memories important to you?
My earliest memory is playing in the front yard with my sister and some other kids. I remember the boys had a long metal pipe and somehow I got the pipe. Next thing I know I have it jammed into the roof of my mouth. My sister was screaming and the iron taste of blood was filling my mouth. My mom grabbed me and put me in the back seat...pipe is still in my mouth...and took off to the hospital. My father was in the military so we had to go to the base hospital. There happened to be an oral surgeon on duty that night who took the pipe out of my mouth and sewed up the hole. I had to each baby food for a while after that. I was four years old and that was a tough lesson learned. So really don't run with sticks. You may poke your eye out or you might just jam it up into your mouth.
I know that experience has traumatized me to this day. I absolutely hate the dentist or anyone else to put their hands in my mouth.
What is your earlist memory?

I remember my dad saying the "poke your eye out" comment! Thanks for participating. I'm also a Christian!

I remember my Dad saying "Don't make me get up" and I never did.
