It's not about me by Michelle Sutton

Back Cover: Annie has it all. she's attractive, graduating with honors, was accepted at the college of her choice, has supportive parents, good friends and a steady boyfriend who loves her. The focus of her life is to please everyone and not make waves. Her reputation means everything to her. But one night Annie's safe world is shattered. As she fights to put the pieces of her broken life back together, against her will she is caught in a war between two brothers, both of whom claim to have her best interest at heart. Who will she choose? and will she finally come to know the One whose love will never fail even in her darkest hour? Will she learn the truth about life-that it's not about "me"?

In my opinion

It's Not About Me is just the kind of fiction young adults need to read in today's world. Michelle Sutton brings very real issues facing teens and young adults right to the forefront. She is not called the Edgy Inspirational author for nothing. I loved the main character Annie Myers from the first and related to her struggle to do the right thing and never cause problems. Boy, how often do we as adults think that if we just behaved and made others happy everything would be great. I loved watching this young woman who had always been a part of the church discover that she didn't really have a relationship with Jesus and her journey to learn how to connect with Him. Well done Michelle. I am can't wait to read more.
