Well, here I am, trying to come up with a topic of interest to Donna’s readers, or to anyone who might be following me online through my blog or other web sites and links here.
Later this week, CFBA will be touring my book from Wednesday through Friday. You can find all of the sites and read the spotlight feature on their blog (http://christianfictionblogalliance.blogspot.com/). I was also the Publisher’s Choice with Christian Fiction Online Magazine (http://www.christianfictiononlinemagazine.com/) this month. So, it’s been quite busy, even without the new addition to my family. J
As some of you might know, I’m a new mother as of April 2nd this year, and my beautiful little daughter has been occupying the majority of my time, thoughts and sanity. LOL! So, with that being said, I won’t ramble much and I’ll share a bit about Victoria Elizabeth.
She was born at 3:29pm, weighing 7lbs and 9oz. and measuring 20in. long. She’s now nearing 10lbs. and 22inches in just 5 weeks. So, she’s growing like a weed! With that growth comes the frequent need to be held and eat. Needless to say that doesn’t give me a lot of time for much else right now. But that’s all right. Before I know it, she’ll be entertaining herself and this precious bonding time will be gone.
When that happens, I’ll be able to focus again on my writing. Right now, I’m finishing a book for a deadline on June 15th. It’s the 3rd book in my second series set in historical Detroit during the Industrial Revolution. The first just released, and it’s the spotlighted book accompanying this guest spot.
My first series will be repackaged into a collection entitled Liberty’s Promise and release in March 2010. I just heard the news and am quite excited! More sales without any additional work on my end. Sounds like a great deal to me!
This current Michigan series will release around the end of 2010 or early 2011. I’m not sure yet. But you can stay up to date via the books page of my web site (www.amberstockton.com/books.html). You can also read about my first 6 books and the 2 books to which I’ve had contributions included.
Today’s featured book is Copper and Candles. A quick summary is: A young lady of means hides her identity from a copper refinery worker and discovers that keeping secrets, no matter how noble their intent, demands a price that she and the worker, with all their resources, might not be able to pay.
You can read the longer description on my books page and order the book through Heartsong Presents. (http://www.heartsongpresents.com/book/detail/9781602603400/) You can also call 1-800-847-8270 for toll-free; NOT on the HP site.
Books 2 and 3, Hearts and Harvest, and Patterns and Progress will release in September 2009 and January 2010.
At the moment, I don’t have any further contracts beyond this 6th book, but I do have three or four other books circulating with other publishers. We’ll see if anything happens with any of them. For now, I’m fine with adjusting to this new life as a work-at-home-mom, balancing the many demands and finding time to readjust to the schedule and patterns that are now a part of my everyday routine.
It’s great to still be able to find time to connect with my readers and receive invitations to be featured on my friends’ web sites or blogs. So, thank you, Donna, for having me here today, and thank you to my readers for keeping me in business. J I wouldn’t be an author without you!
Now, I’m offering a free autographed copy of Copper and Candles, so follow Donna’s instructions to be entered for your chance to win. And make sure you check out my blog for the other sites where you can find giveaways or spotlights. Thanks for your support.

Hi Amber, Secrets beget more secrets, which causes nothing but problems. This sounds like an intriguing book and would love to win it.
I, too, have found it a delight to follow your updates and birth of your daughter.

Hi and welcome Amber; and a big welcome to baby Victoria.
With Felicity and Brandt both hiding things this could prove very complicated and interesting. So I want to enter the draw and maybe I can find out what the consequences are of them both not being who they really are. Thanks.
Congratulations on your little girl. I would love to win a copy of your book.
Blessings,
Jo

Thanks so much, Donna, again for having me here, and thanks to those who have left comments to enter the drawing. I wish you all the best of luck. And if you don't win, there are other opportunities out there this week.
Plus, I'll be starting a monthly drawing on my blog for a free book of mine of your choice. That will begin in June by signing up for my newsletter and/or entering the contest each month.
